This  hair growth smoothie is so simple to make and yet so effective in retaining the length of your hair. It’s filled with the essential vitamins needed to reduce hair breakage and encourage your locks to grow.

For this ultimate smoothie you will need:

Ingredients

(Serves 2)

1 Whole ripe banana(frozen or fresh)

2 whole carrots

1 tablespoon of honey (optional)

1.5 cups of almond milk

1 cup of spinach

Half an Avocado

     Directions 

place 1.5 cups of almond milk into your blender, next add the carrots and blend until smooth.

Add the banana, avocado, spinach and honey. Continue to blend until a creamy consistency.

Pour into a glass and enjoy!

                                 I chose these ingredients specifically due to its’ nutritional value, here is a quick breakdown:

Spinach = high iron content, iron is important for oxygenating the blood and ensuring your hair follicles receive the oxygen it needs, as a result, excessive shedding will be reduced

Avocado = High source of vitamin B5, this vitamin will improve your hairs’ flexibility so therefore, reduce the risk of your delicate hair ends from breaking.

Carrot= High source of Biotin which is needed to help your body to produce protein, the protein will strengthen your hair strands.

Banana= High source of  vitamin B6, this vitamin is great for converting food into energy and it’s essential for aiding hair growth.

 

This smoothie can be drunk every day or a few times a week, it’s especially great for breakfast or a midday snack.
