Are you as excited about Christmas as I am !?  I absolutely love this time of year. Everyone is cheerful, jolly and full of positive vibes. On the other hand there is also something that is not so jolly…..the dreaded heartburn , bloating and constipation.  We all get a little excited eating everything in sight and over indulging but it does come with a consequence.  I have the solution for this problem and I am able to help you avoid a sluggish digestion this Christmas.

I thought this will be the perfect time to share with you all my Christmas digestive elixir.  This can be used at any time of the year of course !

THE BREAKDOWN

GINGER

This fiery root ginger contains a compound called gingerol this stimulates saliva , bile and gastric juices needed for great digestion.  It is also a muscle relaxant therefore it is great for getting rid of excess gas which is a result of poor digestion.

CARDAMON POD

Cardamon is a spice that is a member of the ginger family. For centuries it has been used to aid digestion.  This amazing spice can prevent bloating , upset stomach ,  heart burn , nausea, constipation and vomiting. Acetic and formic acids are the reasons for these amazing health benefits and it’s distinctive flavour.

CINNAMON

When ingested cinnamon breaks down fat and has a warming effect on the digestive system.  It contains important fibers that helps the transition of your food through your intestines down to your colon.
