I absolutely love smoothies, it’s always a perfect time for them no matter the season or day of the week. It’s a perfect way to get your 5 a day and it tastes great too, even fussy children will enjoy it.

So this smoothie I made is called the Blueberry Bliss. It’s a combination of  brain boosting vitamins to enhance your memory, prevent against  alzheimers, prevent dementia, improve concentration and  it can even help you to pass your exams!. This smoothie does so much!, that’s the power of nutrition.

So why is this smoothie so special?

Let me explain……

Not many people are aware of the powerful effects of nutritious healthy food. It’s the most powerful medicine on earth.

Blueberries are a powerful antioxidant known to prevent the body from free radical damage.

Walnuts resemble the brain and that’s no coincidence, this is the ultimate brain food. Since our brain is made up of 60% fat, it is so essential that we feed it good fats to keep is flexible. Studies have shown that low levels of omega 3 has been linked to loss of memory and depression. I’m not saying to go and over dose on walnuts now lol, everything in moderation is the key.

coconut oil is made up of what you call, medium chain fatty acid (MCT), this get’s processed by our livers and fed to our brains where it is then used as fuel.

Flaxseed a great vegan omega 3 fatty acid source

Almond milk is a great alternative to cow’s dairy milk. I personally don’t drink cow’s milk, it’s filled with mucus, pus and antibiotics. The dairy industry is very corrupt…. I will do another post on this topic

Banana  one of natures happy food. It naturally releases serotonin in the brain making you feel happy and it makes everything taste amazing.

BLUEBERRY BLISS SMOOTHIE


Ingredients

1 Cup of blueberries

1 Tsp Coconut oil

1 Tsp Almond milk

10 Walnuts

Half a large banana or 1 small


 

Directions 

Combine everything into your blender and blend until smooth

Serve and enjoy
